Students who will turn 5 years of age between Sept. 2, 2023 and June 2, 2024, can enroll now in Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District’s TK program.
In this video, Lilac School teacher Lyndsey Morningstar talks about why the TK program is important for young students!
The TK program acts as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten and is held in a classroom style environment with credentialed teachers leading each class.
VCPUSD schools are focused on care, connection, innovative learning, and serving the community.
The TK curriculum is based on a combination of the California Preschool Learning Foundations and Kinder Standards.
Students will be provided opportunities for social-emotional, language development, and communication through a play-based program. They will learn through small group instruction and intentional teaching utilizing hands-on activities.
VCPUSD strives to develop students who are able to concentrate, problem-solve and follow directions. The program is designed to create students who become caring members of society, who can process information in a variety of ways, while collaborating with others.
