Following a unanimous vote by the Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District Governing Board on Tuesday, Feb. 27, Kesha Worthy was provisionally appointed to the Trustee Area 5 seat, filling the vacancy left by longtime board member Mary Polito on Jan. 18.
“Serving on the school board will allow me to serve the community in a way that can help students thrive and succeed in their future endeavors and have some of the same opportunities that my public education afforded me,” Worthy said after the appointment.
Worthy will serve the remainder of the term, until the seat comes up for election in November of this year.
