This week, Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District Superintendent Ron McCowan announced the hiring of Michelle Valdez to the position of Director of Child Nutrition Services.
"Michelle will be instrumental in continuing to enhance our CNS program, ensuring that we meet the diverse dietary needs of our students while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service," McCowan said. "Please join me in extending a warm welcome and offering your support as she transitions into this new role."
Valdez is a registered dietitian and has more than 12 years experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
Throughout her career, she has been committed to promoting healthy eating habits and improving the nutritional well-being of the community she serves.
Since becoming a registered dietitian, Valdez embarked on her professional journey working in various settings, including Dublin Unified School District, California Department of Education, Sharp Healthcare, and WIC.
She is excited to share her passion for school nutrition with the children and families of Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District.
