On Saturday night, VCPUSD Assistant Superintendent Mark Hailwood was awarded the Kiwanis International Distinguished Service Award. “While busy serving as Principal of Valley Center High School, Mark also served as president of the Valley Center Kiwanis Club for two years, rarely ever missing a meeting," said Kiwanis President Craig Adams. "After his term was over, he has since served the club as its treasurer. Each Thursday, on his way home from work, he stops by the library to get the key and is always the first on there on Friday morning to unlock and set up tables and chairs. As busy as Mark is as Assistant Superintendent of the Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District, he comes to every event and supports his club and community in any way he can. He comes to and supports our events, even though he lives far away in Oceanside. Mark is well known in the community for his dedication and community service, and as such, are proud to present Mark Hailwood with the Kiwanis International Distinguished Service Award.” Congratulations, Mark!
